The decor in this apartment is based upon 1950's Retro palette of pastels mainly in the shades of bubblegum pink and mint green.

To avoid an outdated look, casual style furniture is used throughout the home.

This design is for a small-sized apartment, so only essential furniture items are used to avoid clutter.

Living, Dining and Kitchen

50's Retro Elements: mint green and bubblegum pink accent walls, paintings in the same palette colours, cushion covers in slightly darker shades of the same family colours to add some depth to the design.

Casual Elements: ceiling pendant lights, white furniture with straight lines, comfy oversized lotus chair, ottomans for relaxed family dinners.

Master Bedroom

50's Retro Elements: mint green accent wall, bedding and painting in the same palette.

Casual Elements: wooden (white painted) furniture - bed, dresser, wardrobe and side table.

Tip: While decorating your home based on a particular time period, you can add decor like paintings, posters, photographs, sculptures, books and popular memorabilia from that particular time period, especially in a corridor, reading nook, den, study, gaming room, family room etc.

It can be quite nostalgic to add such decor elements if they speak to you, your family and friends on a personal level.
