Design 04 - Industrial x Modern Farmhouse

Decor Ideas & Inspiration

The decor in this design is a mix of Industrial and Modern Farmhouse styles.
Industrial style is raw, exposed and has a cold vibe about it, whereas the Farmhouse style is about warmth and comfort, so mixing these 2 styles can give you an overall balanced look.

Foyer, Living Room & Kitchen

Industrial Elements: exposed bricks used as backsplash in the kitchen, concrete tiles on the ceilings, black wrought iron lighting, leather (faux)* upholstered sofa and armchairs.
Modern Farmhouse Elements: beige rug, warm coloured wooden floors, white walls, wooden round bar stools with beige linen, beige linen cushions on sofa and armchairs, wooden coffee table, white wooden TV storage unit, wood block countertop and white cabinets in the kitchen.

Outdoor Dining and Pool Area

Industrial Elements: exposed bricks on the balcony walls, concrete tiles on the ceilings and floor, exposed Edison bulbs spider chandelier**.
Modern Farmhouse Elements: white and warm coloured wooden dining table paired with a mustard table runner, wooden round bar stools and table for 2 by the pool.

Master Bedroom

Industrial Elements: exposed bricks on the walls, concrete tile ceilings, black cage chandelier, black table lamps, black cage floor lamp, large black metallic mirror.
Modern Farmhouse Elements: white ship lap accent wall, warm coloured wooden floors, beige rug, bedding in mustard and green colour reflecting the outside environment, white farmhouse style furniture - study, bed, dresser, wardrobe and side tables.

*Faux leather as you can imagine is animal friendly. Whatever you choose is upto you, I prefer to use faux leather.
**This lighting is better suited for indoors. Space the legs (cables) of the spider chandelier far away from each other so that the bulbs don't crash with each other due to wind. Also, note that the light emitted from exposed Edison bulbs is not bright.

As always, remember, there are no hard and fast rules, have fun decorating your home!
