Design 17 - Industrial x Mid-century Modern

Decor Ideas & Inspiration

The idea behind this design is to convert an existing large building like a barn into an industrial style residential property. Industrial interiors are fuss free. Raw materials used in the construction of a property are exposed as is in the interiors. Common materials used in this style are brick walls, concrete walls, concrete floors, and wooden beams. Staircases, windows, doors, railings, and lighting fixtures are composed of metals like iron, brass and copper. Mid-century Modern style features geometric lines in architectural buildings and furniture. Tapered legs are commonly seen in furniture. The palette is usually neutral with accents in saturated pops of colours. Making a connection with the outdoors and the living spaces is popular in this style.
