Decor Ideas & Inspiration

Wabi Sabi is a concept that originated in Japan. This style seeks to value materials in their most real, pure and honest version. It seeks to maintain a minimalist aesthetic and adds warmth to interiors via rustic materials. The Wabi Sabi look and feel is a combination of rustic and industrial interior styles.

1. Begin with purchasing furniture and lighting that is built of natural materials like wood, cane, bamboo and rattan.
2. You can use parts of stumps of trees as chopping boards and coffee tables.
3. A live edge dining table would also align with this style.
4. Jute, straw or any natural material can be used for wall hangings and area rugs.
5. If possible, expose the raw materials used for the construction of your house, like concrete walls and floors.
